How to compare scholarship offers line by line

A scholarship offer is three offers in one: athletic aid, academic merit, and need-based grants. Compare them line by line, not by the headline number.

Ask each program what is guaranteed for four years, what renews on performance, and what happens to your aid if you are injured. Get the answers in writing before signing day.

Stack every source before you decide. The best package is rarely the biggest athletic number — it is the lowest four-year cost at a school you would still love without the sport.
